Warriors vs. Rockets Game 6 results: Warriors finish off the Rockets
Houston Rockets blew a chance to take control of the Western Conference semi-finals on Wednesday. They had a chance to end a dynasty. And they failed.
Golden State Warriors hold a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series after they managed a 104-99 home victory Wednesday in Game 5. But for the rest of the series they will be without Kevin Durant, who left in the third quarter with a calf strain. The Rockets is unbeaten at home in the postseason but lost to the Warriors twice in last season's Western Conference finals.
Despite all odds being stacked against them, The Warriors eliminated the Houston Rockets in Game 6 with a 118-113 victory.

Harden had 35 points in the loss for the Rockets, and Chris Paul added 27 points after struggling for much of the series. But that was not enough.
Klay Thompson has a history of going off in Game 6, and he did it again when The Warriors needed it most, finishing with with 27 points, but it was the 21 first-half points that were beyond huge. If Klay Thompson doesn't carry The Warriors in the first half while Stephen Curry was on the bench with three fouls and zero points, there are no heroics to be had at the end. It would've been over long before that.
